Before the Oil, Before the Nation
In 1960, at the invitation of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Dr Pat and Marian Kennedy established the first healthcare centre in Abu Dhabi. Over 120,000 children have been born here — including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Renamed Kanad Hospital under the directives of the Crown Prince, honouring the Kennedys' legacy of care.
